FAQ

What level of player is the ECHO racket for?

The ECHO is designed for beginner to intermediate players who want a forgiving, comfortable racket that helps control mis-hits.

What level of player is the EDGE racket for?

The EDGE is built for intermediate to advanced players who want more power and spin potential from an all-round hybrid shape.

What makes the SKRATCH rackets different from other padel rackets at this price?

SKRATCH uses the same premium carbon fibre and calibrated EVA foam, sold direct without the retail markup.

What's the difference between the ECHO and the EDGE?

ECHO is round-shaped with a soft EVA core, low balance, and a 3K carbon face — built for control, comfort and forgiveness on off-centre hits.

EDGE is hybrid-shaped with a firmer medium EVA core, even balance, and a 12K carbon face with a 3D Hex-Spin texture — built for power, spin and bite.

What does the 3D Hex-Spin texture do?

The textured 12K carbon face grips the ball on contact, generating extra spin for kick-smashes and low volleys.

Why are SKRATCH rackets cheaper than the big brands?

Because we sell direct. Big brands have costs for sponsorship, marketing, and distributor and retailer margin. We use premium carbon and calibrated EVA cores, and sell direct to you.

What is the EVA Core rating?

Soft, Medium, Firm, and levels inbetween — in a padel racket describes the EVA foam core — the layer between the two carbon faces that determines how the ball feels off the racket.

A softer core (ECHO) deforms more on impact, holding the ball a fraction longer. That gives you more control and absorbs more shock.

A firmer core (EDGE) gives less and returns more of your swing to the ball, so you get more power and more feedback.

What does the K number mean on the carbon face?

K refers to the number of filaments in each strand of the carbon weave. 3K (3000 filaments per strand) is softer and more forgiving. 12K (12000 filaments) is stiffer and more responsive, with less shock absorption. Neither is better — they suit different players.

What do the icons on the frame mean?

Every SKRATCH racket has its four key specs printed on the rim: carbon rating, balance point, face texture and core density. No spec sheet required, and nothing hidden.

What weight are SKRATCH rackets?

360g ±10g across the range. That's the standard competitive weight band.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Yes.

How long does delivery take?

All rackets will be dispatched within 2 full business days.

What's your returns policy?
